Description
Looking for two friendly housemates to Buddy Up with and create a genuinely comfortable, high-quality home in Surrey Quays (Canada Waters).
This is a three-bedroom house where I, the landlord, will also live. It is not an HMO — it will be a normal, well-looked-after shared home with a small, considerate household. I’m looking for two people who want somewhere that feels like a proper home, not just a room to sleep in between workdays.
About the house
The house has recently been renovated and is currently unfurnished. It will be furnished and equipped to a premium standard before move-in, with a focus on quality, comfort and practical everyday living. I’ll update the listing with photos once the furnishing is complete.
The aim is a warm, well-presented home with good communal space — not a bare-bones rental where you need to buy half a kitchen before you can cook dinner.
The kitchen will include:
• A spacious 600L+ fridge/freezer
• Washing machine and separate tumble dryer
• Dishwasher
• Air fryer, microwave, food processor , blender, eggs boiler and sandwich maker
• Kettle and toaster
• An eight-seater dining table — ideal for proper dinners, friends over, or a relaxed weekend brunch
There will also be comfortable shared living space, quality furnishings throughout, and a home that is kept clean, calm and welcoming.
Early move-in option
If you’d like to move in earlier, while the final furnishing is being completed, I’m offering a discounted rent for the first month. This could suit someone flexible on timing who wants to secure a great room in a premium house share.
About me
I’m a guy in my 20s working in data science, with a hybrid working routine. Between office days, swimming, cycling and travelling, I keep fairly busy — but when I’m home, I like the place to feel relaxed and welcoming.
I enjoy cooking, exploring new places, planning trips and staying active. I’m happy to have a chat, share a meal or watch something together, but I equally respect that everyone needs quiet time after a long day.
I’ll bring a friendly, considerate approach, straightforward communication, and a genuine interest in making this a really nice place to live.
Who I’m looking for
I’m looking for two friendly, considerate housemates, ideally aged 20–35, who will help keep the shared areas clean and comfortable.
You’re very welcome to apply:
• Individually
• As two friends looking for a place together
It would suit people who enjoy the occasional chat, meal or film night, but who also have their own routines, interests and need for downtime. You do not need identical hobbies to be great housemates — reliability, cleanliness, respect for shared space and good communication matter most.
The area
Surrey Quays is convenient for everyday life, with:
• Surrey Quays station around an eight-minute walk away
• Excellent nearby gym facilities, including swimming, sauna and steam-room options
• Canada Water Library nearby
• Surrey Quays Shopping Centre for retail, food and everyday essentials
• A large Tesco, plus Poundland and Lidl nearby
• Smaller Asda and Sainsbury’s stores for quick top-ups
• Aldi and M&S a little further away
• Plenty of food options nearby, including Wetherspoons, and McDonald’s and KFC for late-night cravings
Whether you’re fitting in a workout, doing a big food shop, studying or working from a library, or picking something up on the way home, everything is close by.
Practical details
• Property type: Three-bedroom house
• Household: Live-in landlord plus two housemates
