Double room in lovely, bright, airy, colourful flat with friendly flatmates.

We have a huge 10ft x 10ft balcony and a lovely little garden. below.

The room is £700.00 pcm including bills.

The flat is in SW17. We are 3-4 mins walk from Tooting Broadway tube on the Northern Line.

The flat itself:
We have a lovely big light and airy 4 bedroom flat in Tooting Broadway with a beautiful big 10ft x 10ft balcony and a lovely garden full of flowers and vegetables.

I keep this particular room at bargain price so that inspired, creative people and students on budgets can afford to survive in London!!

I am happy to take uni students on grants and also accept benefits.

One of our lovely flatmates is leaving as he's finished uni. So we have this room available.. but it always goes like hot cakes whenever it's free.. so let us know soon if you're interested.

The room is 12ft x 6ft.. And the design makes great use of the space.

It's a funky split level design with a huge king size bed on a wall to wall platform in the air and shelves for your essentials beside the bed (it's the width of the room). There is a really big tall window so there is natural light above the bed and below, where there are more shelves, a wardrobe, drawers and a big long desk that stretches the width of the room in front of the window. So perfect for students or if you need to work from home on occasion.
There's a couple of armchairs so there is somewhere to sit and chat with friends or study/watch TV etc.

There's no en-suite to the bedroom but we are all freelance working different hours so there's never a queue for the bathroom in the morning!

Just to give you a bit of info about us:

This is not a flat where people walk straight in and lock themselves in their room and don't really ever see each other.

We are an eclectic group of house mates that all get on really well and are very easy and fun to live with.

Whoever moves in will be welcomed with open arms as part of the family!

The youngest of us is post grad working freelance as a Creative Director within the fashion industry and we vary in an eccentric and wonderful way involved in all aspects of the creative industry. (Film production/pop videos/music/prop making/animation/ plus backgrounds in catering/ restaurants etc)

We all have our own spaces to chill out in and are all very respectful of each others privacy and space.

However, we have a lovely big kitchen/sitting room which, as all kitchens should be, is the social hub of the house.

We are all good cooks and like hanging out and chatting while we stir pots and catch up on life.

We also like the odd night plonked on the sofa in front of Netflix or going out and having a laugh! .

The flat is quirky, arty and full of colour and wonderful stuff.

The balcony is full of character is lit up by chandeliers at night. There's plenty of room to sit and have friends over.

We also have a small but delightful private garden where you can chill out under the apple tree or sit round and eat/drink/BBQ etc

Last but not least...we have the cutest loveliest little Maltese Poodle who completes our family and shares her love between us all and is always up for new friends so it'll obviously be good if you like dogs!

Access and travel etc:
As mentioned we're 3 minutes walk from Tooting Broadway station (Northern Line).

There is also Tooting Mainline BR station 6-7 minutes away with trains going to St Albans (which links up to all the more hard to reach places that aren't on the tube...via Tulse Hill, Herne Hill, Loughborough Junction, West Hampstead, Cricklewood, Brent Cross, Elstree, Boreham Wood and St Albans) and South to Sutton via Wimbledon and Moredon etc)

There's a bus stop right at the end of our road( in both directions)  which connects to Balham/Clapham Common/Clapham Junction/Battersea/ etc and Earlsfield/Southfields etc and, in the other direction, to Wimbledon/Putney/Richmond and Kingston etc plus new cycle lanes have just been installed in the whole area.

We're two stops from Balham mainline with direct trains to Clapham Junction and easy access to Gatwick and  connections to the entire country.

It's about 25-30 mins to Central London and Kings Cross etc on the Northern line with connections to everywhere too. You can generally get a seat in the mornings from this end which is fantastic if you commute!

The location is great as we're in a cul-de-sac so it's very peaceful with no traffic noise,  in fact you can actually hear the birds singing in the mornings!

Tooting itself:
Tooting is a vibrant mix of green spaces and lots of fantastic vibrant  restaurants and bars, a huge range of delicious Curry Houses ( which Tooting is famous for!) and loads of brilliant pubs of all shapes and sizes within walking distance. 

We have Tooting Market (next to the tube) which is full of lots of funky, eclectic shops in the day time and transforms at night into another world full of a vast array of delicious restaurants and bars when the whole place is buzzing with life.

There's lots of fantastic Charity Shops which we all frequent and 2-3 Pound Shops as well.

There is also excellent shopping with all the usual (Aldi, Sainsburys, Lidl, Tesco, Super drug, Boots, TK Max, Primark etc.) all in walking distance. There's also a 24 hour 7/11 beside the tube that has everything.

If you want to keep fit..
There are lots of really good gyms plus Tooting Leisure centre with swimming pool across the road (behind St George's hospital) and Tooting Common just down the road...in fact Tooting boasts 200 acres of green space and the UK’s biggest Lido at Tooting Bec.

I am the owner of the flat so I will be the one to sort out all the rent/bills/logistics etc with.
