Large double room in spacious, renovated house

I am renting a double room in a recently renovated house in upper Holloway.

The area has quite a few supermarkets nearby and a couple of very nice pubs – the road itself is very quiet, despite the fact it’s in zone two.

The house has four bedrooms, but I am only planning to rent out one room, and keep a spare guest bedroom and eventually turn the fourth room into an office. Whoever gets the room I’m renting is free to use the spare room for visiting friends and family if available.

There is bathroom on the second floor which will be for you and guests (I have a bathroom on the top floor)

The room itself has a king sized bed from Dusk (very comfy) a couple of bedside tables, a wardrobe, a console table and a TV – furniture can be bought or removed on request.

There is a large open living space on the ground floor with a 55 inch tv (with the majority of tv subscriptions including sky) which leads into a fully stocked kitchen (I love to cook) including two ovens, two dishwashers, a coffee machine, two fridges, dining table that seats up to 16 people. (I have people round for dinner fairly often).

There is also a terraced garden at the back with a large seating space, a firepit coffee table and a big green egg (best BBQ out there).

A little bit about me – I am a 42 year old man, but very much still young at heart. I have worked in the startup space for the majority of my career.

I am very sociable and have a fairly large circle of friends that has a wide age range. Gone are the days when Id be having huge house parties every single weekend, but the odd party still occasionally happens, so if you do still like a party every now and again, that’s a bonus!

I still enjoy a good festival, and occasionally go out late, although the 7am finishes in a club are few and far between nowadays - much more likely to go to a pub than a club.

Ideally I am looking for someone with a similar mentality, who is clean & tidy, respectful and can pay their rent on time and treats the place like a home.

I’m not really looking for someone who is going to be a bit of a hermit and stay in their room all the time. I’m not looking for a new best friend, but my ideal flat mate will be a little more engaging and up for doing stuff on occasion (pubs, bars, dinner parties etc).

I am a smoker, although trying to quite – the majority of the time I will smoke in the garden, however if whoever gets the flat is an adamant anti-smoker, I am more than happy to make the house a non-smoking area (I do need to quit at the end of the day!)
