I have recently moved into a brand new, modern flat on a popular development called ‘The Chain’ which has a lovely community of like-minded professionals (and cute dogs it would seem!)
It has amazing transport connections with the overground (St James Street) less than a 5-minute walk from the flat for trains to Liverpool Street in 15 mins. Or a 10-minute walk to the Victoria Line for the underground to central London (Kings Cross, Oxford Circus, Green Park and Victoria) in under 25 minutes. It's surrounded by bus stops taking you pretty much everywhere including Stratford and Tottenham.
I have a gorgeous, large double (master) bedroom with en-suite bathroom. I can offer the room on a shorter-term basis for £1600pcm which includes all bills and a cleaner.
This would suit someone who is visiting or just arrived in London and needs a more settled place than a hotel or Airbnb. Or perhaps you are needing a flexible option whilst in between finding somewhere long term.
Shorter term works for me as I would like to keep the option of having family/friends occasionally coming to stay throughout the year. (That said, if you’re someone who sometimes travels at weekends and are open to me staying in the room whilst you’re away, this would also suit me).
The flat has all mod cons as you’d expect in a newly designed flat. It has a lovely bright open plan kitchen and living area with great views from the 7th floor spacious balcony.
The master bedroom is a large double with floor to ceiling window and en-suite with walk in rain shower. There is a built-in mirrored wardrobe, and the other furniture is all new.
I enjoy a clutter free, very clean and tidy home and this would suit someone who also likes to live like this. Ideally someone that doesn’t need to move a house full of belongings into the room, or need to use the address for post/banking etc.
I am easy going, responsible, respectful, with a good sense of humour. My job involves working with architects and the community to design new homes and public spaces so weekdays are pretty low key (and I’m often in bed by 10pm!)
I’ve shared with lots of people over the years so experienced in having a lodger. I regularly travel at weekends either to see my boyfriend or family/friends.
I’m quite independent and my ideal flatmate would be the same. I’m friendly and considerate and love a good chat, and equally respect individual space.
I’m not strictly vegetarian but often cook vegetarian/vegan meals. Ideally looking for someone who isn’t practicing for the next series of Masterchef as it is an open plan kitchen/lounge!
It’s a really quiet and relaxed space and not a party flat. I do most of my socialising out and about and always communicate ahead if I’m having someone to occasionally visit (and they will always be close friends or family).
The flat is on a private development that is quiet and beautifully maintained. It has a courtyard and private bike storage. The area has all local amenities less than a 5-minute walk away including a range of supermarkets, gyms, and Walthamstow high street with its vibrant market.
