Bright top floor double bedroom and ensuite

LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a couple or single person to move into our top floor double bedroom and ensuite. You would ideally be available to move in mid-late August/ early September 2022 for a longer term let (i. e. 12 months).

THE HOUSE
We live in a 1910s workers cottage on Date Street, which overlooks Faraday Gardens. Date Street is a quiet road, which sits just off of the bustling Walworth Road where you can find lots of supermarkets, restaurants and cafes, and excellent transport links across London.

On the Ground Floor, there is a separate communal living room, dining room, kitchen, a front garden (overlooking Faraday Gardens) and back garden. On the First Floor, there is a shared study, which can become a third single bedroom when friends/ family come to stay, and a communal bathroom. On the Second Floor (top room), you will have your own private double bedroom and ensuite with eaves storage.

YOUR ROOM
The room is a light and airy double bedroom with an ensuite and plenty of eaves storage. It is on the top floor of our three storey house. Skylights have views on to Date Street and Faraday Gardens park opposite. It is furnished with two clothes rails, a bed (with storage underneath), and a chest of drawers. The room - like the rest of the house - is furnished, however you are welcome to bring your own furniture which we can discuss.

ABOUT US
You would be sharing with another couple in their late 20s/ early 30s, who live in the first floor bedroom.

We have lived in this house for almost two years and love it. Our landlady is also fantastic - she's super responsive and makes sure that the house is in great condition and is really quick to fix any problems.

We are laid back, and enjoy cooking, going out with friends and have lived in London for between five and nine years. I work in children's social care policy and work from home a couple of days each week. My partner is a gardener/ designer and goes out to work each day. Our study easily fits two people for working, and we have also used a desk in the living room and the dining room table for work too.

BILLS
We pay £1090 per month for each room. If you are a couple, this means you would pay £545 each.

Bills (Internet, Council Tax, Energy, Water) for a single person would be £63 per month. For a couple, bills would be £70 each per month.

MOVE IN DATE
We are looking for a couple or single person to move in late August/ early September.

We would like a couple or single person to stay for the full 12 months, and will be on a 6 or 12 month contract. If you wanted to move before 12 months, we would request that you find someone to fill the room if you need to leave before 12 months!

WALWORTH NEIGHBOURHOOD
We have excellent transport links, being a 10 minute walk from Burgess Park and Camberwell (south), Elephant and Castle (north), Kennington (west), Old Kent Road (east).

You can find East Street market, a large Morrisons and Lidl and M&S, and loads of great food places nearby - including Louie Louie, Beza Ethiopian, and Fowlds Cafe. Bars, pubs and restaraunts around Kennington/ Oval and Camberwell/ Peckham are also great! Some of our favourites are: Stormbird, Camberwell Arms, Good Neighbour, and Theo's.
