Description
I’m sad to be leaving my cosy room at this gorgeous flat in West Norwood.
You’ll be living with Jules and Lujza, both 31 and very lovely! We regularly hang out as a flat watching shows, doing park runs, and the occasional nights out. But everyone has their own space as well.
The flat itself is gorgeous. It’s split over two floors so feels like a house, with a huge open plan living/kitchen/dining room with stunning dual height ceiling skylight and sliding doors to the spacious terrace. It’s an amazing space to host at and we also work from home here a few days.
The room available is a cosy double, with huge built in double wardrobe and a shelf area when you come in on the right which I sometimes work from. The room comes with a bed.
You would be sharing the bathroom with one other flatmate, it’s nice and big. There’s also an extra downstairs loo. There’s loads of shared storage throughout the house, including a storage room (known as ‘the shed’) and another big double wardrobe on the upstairs landing.
I love the area! So much so I’m actually just moving down the road into my own flat. It’s got a Picturehouse, board game bar, lovely walks in the cemetery (not as creepy as it sounds), monthly food market by the church , gym and loads of nice pubs and restaurants.
If you have a car, there’s no parking at the flat, but there’s lots of free on street parking a couple of minutes walk away.
It’s also so well connected! Tulse Hill (12 minute walk) and West Norwood (8 minute walk) stations have direct trains to Victoria, Clapham Junction, London Bridge, Peckham, Battersea (all within 20 mins). There’s direct buses into central from the bus stop near the flat, and you’re a 15 minute bus from Brixton which is on the Victoria line.
You’re also near Herne Hill and Dulwich (20-30 minute walk), which is lovely for a weekend potter.
We deal direct with the landlord, he’s nice, responsive and quick to fix anything. We’ve had a new washing machine and fridge/freezer in the last six months.
We’re looking for a sociable, tidy and respectful flatmate (preference for a woman) to take my room in December (can be a bit flexible on the date) and ideally need to complete viewings by 11th November.
Tell us a bit about yourself and let me know if you have any questions!
