A single room is available to rent in Whitechapel, East London. The room comes with a double bed and is suitable for one person.
🌿 Living Environment
The property is a charming, traditional British-style house. I would highly recommend it to anyone who would like to experience living in a typical British home during their time in London.
The house is in a quiet residential setting and has a shared courtyard where tenants can relax, dry clothes, or enjoy other suitable outdoor activities.
Although the property is close to central London, it still offers a relatively peaceful living environment. The rent is reasonable, making it a good option for anyone hoping to manage their living costs and save money.
🏠 Property Layout
There are six rooms in the house. Three of the rooms have their own private bathrooms, so you would only share the following facilities with the tenants of two other rooms:
・One bathroom with a shower and toilet
・One separate toilet without a shower
This means that even when someone is using the main bathroom, the separate toilet is still available, which is very convenient for everyday living.
🍳 Shared Kitchen and Facilities
The kitchen is shared by all tenants in the house. From my experience, the other tenants rarely use it, so it is usually available and the cooking times are very flexible.
The kitchen and shared facilities include:
・Microwave
・Washing machine
・Oven
・Gas hob and cooker
・Fridge
The letting agent also arranges for a cleaner to clean all communal areas every two weeks.

The current rent is £900 per month, although the price may be negotiable with the letting agent.
The rent includes:
・Water
・Electricity
・Gas
・Council Tax
・High-speed internet
The internet connection is very fast and suitable for working from home, online classes, streaming, and everyday use.
📅 Move-in Date
Ideally, the room would be available from the beginning of August, but the move-in date is very flexible and can be discussed with the letting agent.
You are also welcome to get in touch if you would prefer to move in at the end of July, in the middle of August, or around another similar date. The move-in date does not need to be completely fixed.
🚇 Transport and Local Amenities
Whitechapel Station and Shadwell Station are both approximately a five-minute walk away, providing excellent transport links to central London and other parts of the city.
A large Sainsbury’s supermarket is also around a six-to-eight-minute walk away, making everyday shopping very convenient.
I am only moving because I have found a larger room nearby, not because I am unhappy with the property or the area. Based on my own experience living here, I would highly recommend both this room and the Whitechapel area.
As I will still be living nearby, I would also be happy to stay in touch, meet new people, have meals together, or play badminton!
