Roommate Wanted – Wood Green

Hey! I’m looking for a friendly female flatmate to take over my flatmate’s room in Wood Green, available from the 1st of November

I’ve lived here for the past 4 years and it’s been such a lovely place to call home. We have tried our best to take care of the flat but it has seen better times. I’m helping my current flatmate find someone to take over her room as she is moving countries. This room should be available by the end of November but if my flatmate does leave earlier it should be empty incase you wanted to move in earlier.

About the property:
• Located super close to Wood Green station (about a 5-minute walk). I usually get to King’s Cross in around 15 minutes — very convenient!
• During tube strikes, Alexandra Palace station is about a 15–20 minute walk away.
• Excellent bus connections just a 5-minute walk from the flat.
• A huge Morrisons is only 5–6 minutes away, perfect for after-work grocery runs.
• Great running routes around Ally Pally if you enjoy running.
• The Gym Group is about a 3-minute walk away.
• Wood Green Mall nearby, with Primark, TK Maxx, H&M, River Island, and more.
• The flat is in a quiet, suburban area with a small park nearby — great for relaxing (and dog-watching!).

About the room:
• A furnished double bedroom with a wardrobe, bedside table, and a double bed with mattress.
• It’s a 2-bed flat, which I personally love as it makes sharing space easier.
• Top-floor flat with great neighbours downstairs.
• Open-plan living room and kitchen — a cosy space to hang out.

I do want to put up a disclaimer that there is a crack in the room you will be moving into but good news it is currently being fixed and should be back to normal by the time you move in!

Bills:
• Rent: £900 per person
• Water / electricity / gas: approx. £30–40 each
• WiFi: approx. £12.75
• Council tax: around £90
• Deposit: approx. £808

About me:
I’m a 29-year-old physiotherapist, working 2 days from home and 3 days in a clinic. I’m Indian and love cooking — so hopefully you enjoy Indian food! I’m generally an introvert and respectful of personal space, but I can also happily end up having 3-hour random conversations. I’d love to do movie nights, chill evenings, or even trips — I’ve gone on day trips (and even international ones!) with previous flatmates. I love going on walks and I frequently walk to Ally Pally and may venture out to Muswell Hill to go charity store shopping. You could probably force me to go on a couch to 5k run but just know that I will stop every 10 seconds as I am extremely unfit haha. I have a group of friends that I hang out with regularly so just looking for the home to be somewhere we can decompress during the week but maybe grab a pastry or 2 on the weekend!

About you:
• Female, aged 27–35
• Able to pass referencing and provide proof of income (or sufficient savings)
• Enjoys a clean and tidy flat and is open to a cleaning rota (I’m not overly strict, just like things reasonably clean)
• WFH, hybrid, or office-based — all welcome, no strong preference

Happy with students/ professionals. All are welcome but looking for someone to stay a bit more longer term as well (12 months/ or more) if possible.
