Room for rent in city centre

THE FLAT: The flat is a two-bedroom property in the city centre, close to Usher Hall, with a really spacious communal living room that makes up a big part of the flat. There’s plenty of comfortable furniture, a TV, and a workspace desk overlooking the street, so there’s plenty of room to relax, work from home, or just hang out.

The kitchen is on the smaller side but is well-equipped, with an oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher and plenty of storage space. One of the big practical bonuses of the flat is the separate washing machine and dryer (a bit of a luxury in Edinburgh!), as well as a hanging drying rack.

There’s also a bathroom with a bath/shower, toilet and sink, plus a separate walk in shower in the hallway— so you’re never fighting over the bathroom in the morning.

ABOUT ME: I’m 21 and recently graduated from the University of Edinburgh, and I’m currently working full-time as a receptionist. Outside of work, I’m into travelling, cooking, music (I play the drums, although not in the flat!), and getting out for a good hike whenever I can.

I’m a sociable person and really enjoy having a chat in the flat, cooking together, or heading out for a pint at the weekend. That said, I definitely appreciate having my own space and downtime too.

ABOUT YOU: I’m open to both Honours students and young professionals in their 20s. I’m looking for someone who’s friendly, easy-going and wants to keep the flat nice without being a neat freak.

I’m always down to have a chat, cook together or grab a pint, but I also like having my own space and would want someone who feels the same. Basically, I’d like a flatmate who’s up for being friends and doing things together, but where neither of us feels like we have to hang out every night.
