An interesting and ‘with it’ older lady with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a little practical help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She would also appreciate some general practical help around the home such as shopping, cooking and sharing a few meals, light cleaning and tidying, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a spacious bedroom, furnished with a double bed, dresser, desk, wardrobe and basin. There is a bathroom mainly for the Sharer’s sole use. There is also a bright shared kitchen, sitting room, conservatory and garden.

The property is conveniently located in the Merchiston area to the south of the city, with easy access to the university and city centre, including good local bus routes.

The lady has a wide range of interests including listening to classical music, crosswords, watching TV (nature programmes, documentaries and sports - including cricket). Netflix and her family. She has the support from a weekly carer and cleaning as well as help in the garden.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time (up to 15 hours per week in a mix of practical help plus a little company) to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the lady’s interests.
