Semi-rural stone cottage west of Edinburgh

Friendly, semi-rural stone cottage on the outskirts of Edinburgh. I have owned and lived in the cottage for about 10 years, mostly with lodgers, sometimes without. It is not too big, not too small, not too warm, not too freezing, but definitely below a new build 21 degrees in the depths of winter! It's a lovely place to be with a great garden*, loads of space, and loads of jobs (mowing the grass is on a compulsory rota system)! Also some 'interesting' neighbours in both directions - capturing country living close to the city brilliantly (I'll tell you which ones not to speak to!) 😆

*The garden now looks pretty different from the photo after years of evolution. We lost some trees in a storm, built a stage and planted a wildflower garden... I have a polytunnel and plenty of space for someone to have for a project if they wanted. Veggie growers welcome!

Sof the dog also lives here. She is very friendly, very nice, very important and LOVES cuddles and people! Kindness to animals is essential.

Looking for friendly, sociable, non-towny types to join for a wee semi-sticks crew. Ideal for commuting to Edinburgh or Glasgow and very close to the wonderful Pentlands, where I work for a charity with my 'naughty kids'. I am also just finishing paramedic training in Glasgow.

Not a party or drinking house, QUIET at nighttime! Chatting in the kitchen is the main social, always up for a shared meal if you fancy it. No short term lodgers (less than 6 months). A doggo could be welcome if it's the right fit - Sof would love a pal - but sadly cats are a no as Sof still wants to eat them.
