🏡 Double room in a friendly 2-bed flat

Hi! I’m looking for a new flatmate to join me in our 2-bedroom flat. 😊
My current friend is moving down to London, to seek new opportunities in her career!

I’m ideally looking for someone long-term — I’d much rather find the right person who wants to settle in and make the place their home than have a revolving door of flatmates.

A little about me

I’m 32, originally from Poland, and have been living in the UK for 8 years. I work night shifts in a care home, so my schedule can be a little unusual — sometimes I’ll be around during the day while everyone else is working, and sometimes I’ll disappear off to work while everyone else is sleeping! 😴

When I’m not working, I’m usually out on my motorcycle exploring somewhere new 🏍️, playing games, watching films, or having a quiet day at home. I’m also planning to get back into puzzles, so there may eventually be an unreasonable number of puzzle pieces taking over the flat. 😂

I’m pretty easy-going and enjoy having a chat, but I also appreciate having my own space. I’d like the flat to be somewhere we can both feel comfortable and relaxed.

What I’m looking for

Someone friendly, respectful and reasonably tidy.

I’m definitely not expecting the place to look like a hotel, but I do want us both to take responsibility for keeping the shared areas clean and actually contribute to cleaning rather than leaving it all to the other person.

Being considerate of each other’s comfort is important too — things like not regularly slamming doors or making unnecessary noise when the other person is sleeping are very much appreciated, especially as I work nights.

Ideally, I’m looking for someone who doesn’t work from home full-time, as I think it works well when we both have our own routines and the flat isn't someone's permanent office.

🐱 Pets: A cat may be possible, subject to an additional pet deposit. Unfortunately, no dogs due to my allergies.

💷 The practical bits

Rent: £570 per month

Bills: approximately £90 per month for electricity (might go up during winter)
WiFi: £35 per month
Council tax: £231 per month (till January)
All split between us both

Deposit is equivalent to one month of rent, there is also a deposit of £570 for a pet.

The room is available from 1st November.

And finally...

The most important thing for me is finding someone who is considerate and wants a peaceful, friendly home. We don't need to become best friends, but it would be nice to actually get along, have the occasional chat, and maybe share a film or a cuppa now and then. 😊
