Double room in the heart of Leith

My current housemate is moving in with her partner and I am looking for someone genuine, relaxed and warm to join me on the lease of our two bedroom flat in the heart of Leith from the end of November/early December. Rent excludes bills which come to around £150 per month extra.

The flat is about a one-minute walk from the shore tram stop, with lots of great cafes and bars nearby and Leith links just a short stroll away. The flat is in a converted warehouse and has lots of character, with exposed brick walls, timber floorboards and a cosy, slightly industrial feel. It gets lovely natural light in the summer and is nice and warm in winter. There is a large open plan living/dining space and a bathroom with a bathtub, laundry space and two bedrooms. The room available is the smaller of the two, it comes furnished with a double bed, set of drawers and large white wardrobe.

A little about me: I’m 33, originally from Australia and have been living in Edinburgh for the past 3 years. I work in project management and am also studying psychology part-time. I’m usually in the office 2-3 times a week and work/study from home too. I’m sociable, love yoga, cooking (I am vegetarian) coffee, hiking, art/design and reading.

The flat is warm and homey, with lots of plants and books around. Home is my haven so I’m looking for someone who wants the same for their space, helping to make it a shared home rather than just somewhere to sleep. I am very clean and tidy and can only live with someone who is similarly inclined. I like to have friends over occasionally for potluck dinners, games nights or a glass of wine, and you’d absolutely be welcome to do the same. Please note this is not a party household but is social. I’d love to live with someone who’s up for sharing a meal or having a good tap in the kitchen, while also appreciating their own space and quiet time. I’m often out and about and occasionally travel for work too.
