Quite and peaceful Attic Room in a Buddhist Centre

Would you like to live in a peaceful & harmonious environment? Then this might be the right place for you.

We are not your average place to live; we are a Buddhist Centre based in the town centre of Attleborough.

We have a very cosy, quirky top-floor attic room in a 400-year-old Grade II listed house. It has a low ceiling and exposed wooden beams and a dormer window, which has secondary glazing, which makes the room nice and peaceful from the local traffic. It does have a very steep set of steps to the attic.

As a resident, you will have access to all of our classes, retreats and events at the centre. You will also have access to a shared kitchen, bathroom, washing machine (free) and a communal space as well as a courtyard garden, which gets the sun in the late afternoon. We also have a good broadband connection. All of your bills are included in your rent.

You don’t have to be Buddhist to live here, but to be respectful of our basic beliefs[ can be explained when viewing]

We try to respect each other and be kind, and in this way, we will have a harmonious place to reside.

We meditate a lot, so one of the conditions necessary is a peaceful environment.

Everybody has to attend at least one meditation class per week. You can find a schedule of our classes at meditate in norfolk. org

We have a no TV policy, but we do not mind if you have a laptop. We would recommend headphones, as not to disturb others.

We are a vegetarian household, so no meat or fish is to be stored or consumed on the property.

Strictly no drinking alcohol or consumption of drugs, or storing them within the premises.

Everyone has a house cleaning area and some community work, which normally adds up to five hours a week.
