Double Room with Private Bathroom – Pocklington

I’m looking for a female lodger to rent a spacious, furnished double room in my new-build home in Pocklington.

The room is bright and well presented and comes fully furnished with a double bed, fitted wardrobes, chest of drawers, dressing table, and under-bed storage. You’ll also have sole use of your own private bathroom with a shower.

The rest of the house is shared and includes a comfortable living room, fully equipped kitchen, and a garden with patio. There is off-street parking available, along with an electric car charger (EV charging costs to be covered by the lodger).

About the household:

I live here with my dog, Sasha, a friendly, playful 5-year-old Bordoodle (Border Collie/Poodle). She’s medium-sized and an important part of the home, so any potential lodger must genuinely like dogs. I would consider a lodger with a well-trained small to medium dog, preferably non-shedding, subject to the dogs getting along. No other pets, please.

Practical details:

- Most bills included (EV charging would be additional)
- No TV licence at the property — if you wish to watch or stream live TV, you would need to arrange your own licence
- Full-time lodger preferred, though Monday–Friday may be considered
- Let is flexible, as I expect to be in the area until spring 2028

What I’m looking for:

- Non-smoker and non-vaper (including no smoking in the garden)
- Occasional working from home is fine
- Respectful, tidy, and happy in a calm home environment
- Occasional overnight guests are fine
