New combi boiler and nest controlled gas central heating system, double glazing.
Quiet residential road, just off Victoria Road. A few minutes walk to the station, 5 minutes walk to Sainsbury's & Aldi. 12 minutes walk to South Bay beach. Plenty of local amenities such as cafes, bars, eateries, gyms.
Please note commute to York is 50 mins by train, and costly, so not really suitable if you are working or studying in York.
We are live-in/out landlords who will usually only be there Saturday eve or Sunday to Monday eve, if we are there, as we work elsewhere. So usually, one or two lodgers would have the place to themselves. We have our own private living room also.
Short stays are considered at slightly higher rates and can include bedding & towels.
If you are staying for more than a few weeks you can apply for a resident's parking permit, there is always somewhere in the small zone available.
I am a health professional, working in a community team in Leeds, my partner Sean has a European role with a company supporting sustainability in retail. We both love travel, music, art & meeting new people. When we are there we will bring two small dogs, a Cavalier Spaniel & a chihuahua. We are friendly and sociable so happy to share a meal or drink on occasion, although there is no obligation.
Room & house likely to suit someone who is independent, yet sociable and would like a comfortable, peaceful homelife. Would likely suit a mature student, academic, professional or a Monday to Friday lodger.
The house is not suitable for someone who works from home predominantly.
