Set within the beautiful Grade II listed Gedling House, just 20 minutes from Nottingham city centre, this spacious en-suite room offers a rare opportunity to enjoy peaceful living surrounded by nature. With excellent bus links, two country parks nearby and Gedling Woods Nature Reserve on your doorstep, it's the perfect setting for anyone who values peace, privacy and wellbeing.

The Room & Facilities

The Space: A spacious, fully furnished 14m² room and a private en-suite bathroom (the room currently features a single bed but double bed can be provided if desired)

• Furnishings: Single bed (with under-bed storage), bedside drawers, chest of drawers, wardrobe, desk, chair, desk drawers, storage shelves, and a rocking chair.
• Kitchen: Modern communal kitchen with two ceramic hobs, two ovens, 3 x fridge/freezers and large tall fridge & plenty of cupboard space.
• Utilities: Wi-Fi, heating, water, and electricity are all fully included.
• Laundry: On-site facilities available for a small additional charge.
• Media: To maintain a peaceful environment, no televisions are permitted. Streaming services (like Netflix) are welcome via personal devices on our Wi-Fi.

The property is not currently rated for Council Tax. Should this change in future, any liability will be shared between 10 rooms according to room size.

A Unique Living Experience

Gedling House is home to the Kadampa Meditation Centre Nottingham, creating a calm, respectful and welcoming environment that many residents find refreshingly different from a typical house share.

Residents enjoy free access (worth £30/ month) to our meditation classes and retreats. These practical sessions offer practical techniques for reducing stress, developing inner peace and applying Buddhist wisdom to everyday life. Attendance is entirely optional.

As part of a vegetarian Buddhist community, no meat or fish is allowed on the premises. We are also alcohol free.
