Bright Double Room in Cosy Home (Dog Lovers only)

Hello! I’m looking for someone to rent a room in my home as my current lodger is sadly moving abroad. I’ve recently bought the property, so it’s still a bit of a work in progress — but it’s a bright, cosy and welcoming space.

You’ll be sharing with me and my two incredibly loving dogs, Tala and Herb, so you’ll definitely need to be a dog lover!

A bit about me — I work full-time in a busy role working from home. Outside of work, I’m happiest being outdoors — walking, swimming, watching the sunrise or spending evenings under the stars. I run an active outdoors club, so often in the Peaks with them. I have a huge allotment as well as the big garden, so often there too. I also love cooking, yoga, gardening, music, gigs, theatre and the occasional night out, though more often you’ll find me chatting over dinner with friends or relaxing with a glass of wine. I like a home that feels warm, calm and lived in, where everyone feels comfortable and respected.

I’m looking for someone who’s clean, considerate and treats the place like home. Ideally, you’d enjoy the occasional shared meal, drink or chat — I’d love to live with someone friendly and easy-going rather than someone who just keeps to themselves. I’m also happy to consider pets, as long as they get along with Tala and Herb — a meet and greet would be essential!

The house is less than a mile from the city centre (about a 20-minute walk) with great bus links nearby on Carlton Road. There’s a Lidl just 8 minutes away, and the best Japanese restaurant is right at the end of the street!

Your bedroom is bright and spacious, fully furnished, with the comfiest mattress ever. You’ll have your own fridge and space in both the kitchen and utility room. The living room is large, with a fireplace and dining table, and the garden is large, very peaceful and green, has a big patio, fantastic views and a fire pit for cosy evenings.

Bills are included. The initial contract will be for up to 3 months, with the option to move to a rolling monthly agreement afterwards — though I’m also open to shorter stays. There is no smoking in the house, but you are welcome to smoke in the garden.
