Feedback from previous housemates

By Lynn in December 2022:
This has been my home for the past two years and I have loved every minute. I have met some amazing people who I now consider very close friends. The house is spacious with two bathrooms and an extra downstairs toilet, utility room and a sizeable garden which is so nice in the summer. The neighbourhood is great plenty to do and very close to Oxford City Centre. Jason (landlord) is very attentive and any household issues he resolves immediately. You won’t be disappointed living here and I would highly recommend.

I lived in Botley for 6 months. The house in Botley is located in a wonderful environment, with some green space and a nice atmosphere when waking up to the birds chirping and the eagle that stalks the small farm nearby. The local area is regenerating and there is yet another supermarket opening - so great location! As for the house itself, it has a good amount of space and a communal area. The make-up of people will change but I was met warmly and the landlord is very attentive and diligent; he even has a dedicated WhatsApp group so that everybody can check-in or report an issue. Overall, this is one of the best landlords that I have been a tenant for and there are plenty of interesting characters to encounter.
By Damien in August 2019:
The house is really well situated with shops, bank, pub and bus stops within walking distance. The area is really quiet and safe. You can commute to the city center by bus (<10min), by bike (10min) or by walk (30min). I really enjoyed staying in this house as it’s a modern house recently built, fully furnished with a very nice garden that is lovely during the summer.
The room was the biggest of the house with a lot of space and a very comfortable bed! It’s fully furnished so you don’t need to bring anything except the bedding. The price of the rent includes everything so it’s very convenient as the landlord is keeping everything tidy and clean, you just have to clean your own room. If any problem occurs, the landlord is very quick to react, and everything is fixed within one or two days (it happened only once over my one year stay in the house and the problem which was with the toilets was fixed within 24hours).
Finally, the best part of this house is the housemates. Indeed, everybody is really sociable and likes to go out for a drink, for food, etc... or just to stay at home to play pool (there is a small pool table ) or to watch a movie, etc. All the people in the house had different background and were coming from different countries so it was a really enriching experience.
I really recommend that house and I’m sure you will enjoy staying there as I did during one year!

The house is a comfortable new-build, located in a safe and quiet housing estate, in excellent commuting distance to the Oxford City centre. There are several grocery shops, a pub as well as two bus stops, with a regular service, within walking distance from the house.
The house is well kept and the room fully furnished, with a modern double bed, desk, and wardrobe.
The landlord, Jason, is a friendly and very helpful person. Moving to the UK from Germany, I was required to complete various paperwork which Jason was happy to help and advise me on.
He looks after the house and keeps it clean and tidy. This includes a good size garden which is lovely in the spring with flowering tulips and lavender as well as a cherry tree. I enjoyed relaxing with Jason and the other housemates on the garden bench, eating dinner outside and barbecuing when the weather was nice.
The housemates are a mix of different nationalities and backgrounds. They are working professionals who contribute to a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. I really liked getting to know them all, they were the perfect balance of being helpful, friendly and sociable whilst respecting my privacy and giving me time alone if I needed to revise or do work.
By Rachel in July 2018:
The location of the house is excellent, access to the town centre with multiple buses and the property has parking available.
Living in the house was great, everyone really friendly and professional and liked to socialise too! The house was always clean and well kept and if there were any small issues they were fixed immediately.
By Marios in Dec 2017:
1) house:
During my stay in the current property I was impressed by the comforts of the house, as well as its perfect location -close to bus station and shops.
Moreover, the house offers great heating system and lots of storage space.
The housemates were all professionals and the relationships between us were harmonic and warm.
Last but not least, the area of the house is quiet and safe, offering a peaceful overall stay.
2) landlord:
The landlord of the property is very pleasant and friendly person, always looking after the house.
Every weekend he takes care of cleaning the shared areas of the houses, making life easier for all the tenants.
He is organising regularly "housemate events", either in the form of sports or dinner, creating in that way a happy atmosphere amongst the tenants.
It was a pleasure to meet him and stay in the property.
