Beautiful Cotswold cottage – weekday accommodation

Combe, Oxfordshire | Monday–Thursday

We're looking for a considerate, professional lodger to enjoy a comfortable home-from-home in our beautiful 400-year-old Cotswold cottage in the sought-after village of Combe.

Ideally suited to someone working in Oxford or the surrounding area who would appreciate a peaceful countryside base during the working week, rather than a conventional house share.

The cottage is full of character, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We're looking for someone who values a lovely home, local community and enjoys the countryside.

Available for 3–4 nights per week, ideally Monday to Thursday (could be from Sunday evening).

£1,000 per month, inclusive of bills, fast-fibre Wi-Fi and weekly cleaning.

A comfortable, furnished private bedroom.

Shared use of the kitchen, bathroom and living spaces.

Convenient village parking is available close to the cottage, around the pretty village green.

A quiet, relaxed environment, ideal for working and unwinding.

Our family home is ideally situated for exploring some of Oxfordshire's most beautiful countryside and best-loved attractions. Blenheim Palace and its spectacular parkland are within walking distance, while the charming market town of Woodstock, Charlbury and the wider Cotswolds are all close by.

Despite its rural setting, Oxford is only approximately 10 miles away (around 20 minutes by car).

Hanborough railway station is just a short drive away, with direct trains to Oxford and London Paddington, making travel further afield straightforward (around 8 minutes by car).

This is our much-loved family home, which we enjoy predominantly at weekends and from Thursdays onwards during term time. We are therefore looking for someone who would appreciate having the cottage as their weekday home-from-home, ideally from Monday to Thursday (could be from Sunday evening).

There may occasionally be one adult staying mid-week, and during school holidays they may be accompanied by two children. The family bedrooms are located upstairs, in a separate part of the cottage, offering the lodger their own space and privacy. For the most part, the cottage will be available for the lodger to enjoy as their own peaceful weekday home-from-home.

We're looking for someone considerate, tidy and respectful - a working professional/s who would enjoy sharing a relaxed, welcoming family home and looking after it as they would their own. A weekday commuter or someone who regularly needs accommodation in the area would be particularly well suited.

This would suit someone looking for somewhere a little more special than a standard rented room: a characterful country home to return to during the working week.
