I’m moving into college accommodation, so I’m looking for another student to take over my place on the tenancy/sublet.

The handover is handled through the letting agent: the landlord approves the replacement tenant, the agent carries out standard referencing, and there is a £50 fee for the new agreement. You would pay your share of the existing deposit (£725) to me, and the agent transfers the protected deposit into the new joint tenants’ names (including youself).
