Description
The house is mid-terraced in a quiet and safe neighbourhood. There are two bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs), both with showers; the upstairs bathroom also includes a bath. There is a large lounge/dining area, kitchen, lean-to, and garden to share. In the garden, there is a washing line available and some garden furniture to use. We have a gardener come during the spring and summer to cut the grass and trim the hedges.
Monthly bills are split equally among the tenants. This is currently £151 per person and includes:
* Gas/electricity/water
* Council tax (Band C)
* Wifi package
* TV license
* Gardener
There is a Tesco Express right around the corner, within a 2-minute walk from the house. We are also situated on the number 1 bus route, which goes down to the bus station in the city centre and is very regular (approx. every 20 mins) throughout the day. The house is also within easy walking distance of bus stops for the U4 bus service that runs from Southdown to the University of Bath and Bath Spa University campuses. If parking is required, it is free on-street parking.
The room available is a single bedroom at the back of the house. This room overlooks the spacious back garden. Furnishings are usually provided by the tenants; however, the current tenant is prepared to leave the bed, bedside table, and a small desk in the room if wanted. And there is also a set of shelves fixed to one of the walls. (You would need to provide anything else, though.) The room is available to rent from May 2026.
Charlotte and I (Kate) are the current tenants. We both work for local organisations in Bath. I work in admin, and Charlotte works for a local school. We are both Christians, and we both attend a church in Bath called Sound Church.
Charlotte and I are both quite arty/creative people. We both studied visual arts at university. I enjoy drawing and painting in my spare time. I also enjoy playing board games and watching films (Disney+ mostly!). We currently have a third lady (Katherine) living with us who is moving out at the end of April.
We would prefer a female housemate, as all the other housemates are female. We are looking for someone who is easy-going and who is happy to lend a hand with keeping the shared spaces of the house clean and tidy. We feel that the house is a warm and friendly environment, so it would be great to have someone who is equally friendly and up for hanging out together (even just occasionally).
