A friendly and mobile older lady with poor memory is seeking a Sharer for her home to give her a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would primarily value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She would also like some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking and sharing up to four or five meals each week, light cleaning and tidying, prompts and reminders, and ad hoc additional practical help, outings and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a large bedroom currently furnished with a single bed, wardrobes and desk, and shared use of a large bathroom with shower and large kitchen. There is also a lovely garden.

The property is in an excellent location in Larkhall, on the edge of Bath, with regular buses (or an easy cycle) into the centre of the city.

The lady sings in a choir, meets friends, goes to the cinema, listens to the radio and watches some TV in the evenings. She takes an interest in other people and can hold a decent conversation

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests. This would also suit someone who works or studies from home some days.
