Description
I have a 2 bedroom flat in Keynsham, where I am looking to rent out my spare room! It is a new build and has just been furnished as a second double bedroom that I have used as an office when I had previously been working from home.
About me:
I have a close group of friends nearby and like all the usual stuff you might expect: going to the gym, running, walking my dog through the countryside, going to the pub, paddleboarding, and so on.
I think it is important that we get on, and I'm in no rush to get just anyone in. It is my home after all and I'm not a commercial landlord who just wants the money rolling in because I have an empty room.
Some Pros and Cons:
Pros:
- It's now furnished, and includes all the bills.
- I realise one of the photos has a hammer lying around and that probably looks a bit unusual. Rest assured that was from building the bed and I took the photo before I finished clearing up.
- South facing flat with floor to ceiling windows and balcony doors in the living area.
- I have lived there for 5 years and have never had to put the heating on, the double glazed windows do such a good job of trapping the warmth in winter!
- Right on top of the leisure centre, with gym, pool and a sauna etc.
- Walking distance of the high street and Keynsham Station - one stop to Temple Meads or Bath Spa.
- I work away Mon-Thu so the secure parking space is available for you to use whilst I am gone. There's free parking in the evenings and weekends next door to the flat too for other occasions. For those of you who appreciate some space you'll be sure to get it!
- I have my dog occasionally stay over, she's adorable. She's actually an old housemate's dog, who I've stayed close friends after she moved, so by way of a reference on me, hopefully that's a reassuring sign for you as a potential future housemate.
- There's a large park nearby and all sorts of potential for walks etc. Head in one direction and you got the Somerset countryside to enjoy.
- Comes with all the access to Netflix, Prime, Disney+ and a Playstation 5 you could need!
Cons:
- One shared bathroom (It's a nice one and I keep it spotless, but I know sharing isn't for everyone!)
- My dog is grumpy with other dogs and cats, so sadly I can't get anyone to move in who's looking to bring their own pets.
I'm a pretty unremarkable roommate, in that there wont be any surprises! I come back from work and I can find enjoyment in most things from doing a bit of cooking, watching a movie, or heading to the pub with a pretty good bunch of friends who live nearby, which naturally you'd be invited along to.
So.... I'm potentially looking for a room mate, but having experienced shared houses as a roommate where some of the other people have been walking disasters, I am in no rush to get someone in unless I think they're the right kinda person and the living situation works for both of us!
Drop us a message and we can see if something works out.
