The master en-suite is on the top floor of this three-storey semi-detached.
We bought the house in 2022, and it's still in like-new condition. It's spacious throughout, nice and airy with lots of natural light. The house is situated in a fairly leafy and quiet area, overlooking a large green and inside a 20mph speed limit zone.
Your room is the best in the house, with two big windows, fitted wardrobe and plenty of floor space. The photos here show how it is while relatives are using it, with their Super King size bed. This bed and other furniture will be removed by end of September, and we will replace with a standard double. I will update the photos here at that time.
You will be sharing a kitchen-diner, but as we don't really use the dining area, you could pretty much have that to yourself.
You will have your own kitchen cupboard, and shared use of the fridge-freezer, washing machine and clothesline and clothes airers. We also have a dishwasher.
You can use one of the allocated off-street parking spaces that belongs to the house.
Your housemates are two older ladies, an elderly mother and her daughter. Joan is the owner of the house and has mobility issues. She has her bedroom, living room and shower room all on the first floor. She does not go out much. I am deaf and I care for Joan full-time, and I attend to almost all her business affairs on her behalf. My bedroom is on the second floor, next to your en-suite bedroom, and the family bathroom, next to it, is for my own use.
Joan and I spend most of our time in Joan's living room on the first floor and we eat there in front of the TV, which we watch with subtitles and no sound. Joan loves to knit, do Sudoku and read. I cook quite a lot.
We are omnivores but we eat a plant-based wholefood diet. We eat meat only once or twice a week, and very little dairy.
Joan and I both care about wildlife and the environment, and we use natural cleaning products, which you can share.
We are seeking a mature, responsible woman, not necessarily in years but certainly in attitude, who is naturally clean and at least reasonably tidy. Somebody who also cares for her health and that of the environment and who is already in the habit of recycling and choosing products that do no harm.
It is important to us that you are confident about communicating in a mature and reasonable manner, generally, but especially if you are unhappy about anything so we are aware and can help put things right. You can have considerate friends and family visit you. We will consider house-trained and well-behaved pets. If you work from home you could do this from your bedroom, but in March/April the ground floor office will be cleared of the items being stored there, and that could become a room you could use/share too, to be confirmed nearer the time.
All the usual bills are included, including broadband and Council Tax. You would pay for your personal phone and contents insurance.
We will not be able to meet potential lodgers until around mid-October, with the room being available from approximately start of November.
