Cosy room in a warm, peaceful house in Portishead.

Being prepared now (oct 2025) pictures reflect the room this week before new paint. A futon bed can be bought upon application :)
A cosy typical British room (big enough for a small double bed and desk) in a coach house in calm Portishead - close to Bristol and Clevedon. The desk pictured for size- there is a smaller one available too (I may update with this picture once the room is repainted).

The room has a blue wall and a black chalkboard wall on the opposite side. There's one large skylight. 6 plug sockets. 2 plug sockets have USB A and USB C charging. There are 2 small shelves above where the bed can go. There is a warm white LED light which does have cheesy LED modes.

Bills included.
Council tax included which is around £142pcm (Band D Sommerset).
Broadband is 800-900mbs U/L 110 suitable for content creating or gaming too.
Parking - on the road outside. The road is a small street off the main road.

Portishead
A nice calm and safe place with a handful of great cafe's, pubs, couple of cute bars, and of course country walks/rides. It's 20mins from Bristol by car. 45-50mins by bus, and around 1.25 hours cycling. It's a good choice for people that love busy, creative and crusty Bristol but also need a calm place to live.

The house
A 12 minute walk to the bus stop. A 5 minute walk from the Marina cafe's, pubs, and the waterfront that looks across the Severn to Newport. The reserve is perfect for jogging and the Marina is a 1mile circuit - safe with plenty of M/F joggers (give's an idea of the vibe of the area).

House
The living room is a vibe, the bathrooms and kitchen are small but clean and functional. Kitchen has a microwave, nutribullet, air fryer and standard oven).
The living room is a properly nice and chill vibe. PS4 absolutely. TV streaming, nothing at the moment. We have a beautiful sound system, perfect for reading, drawing and listening to great music (vinyl, digital, CD). Spotify-free house - Tidal or anything that's better for artists.

Oh… and there's a secret soundproof recording studio/rehearsal room.

Flatmate (me).
Actively in the creative communities in Portishead and Bristol - Professional videographer/photographer and occasionally compose music. Also have a. couple of casual spots massage clients (a profession from the distant pastl). I co-host a local life drawing group at the local hobby store, and support jam nights and arts in Bristol's amazing warm and creative community - close friends best described as humanists in arts, community and teaching and are generally very science-minded and always surreal and joyful.

Ideally looking for a quiet, clean (doesn't need to be OCD!) professional person ('mature' students also). Any gender, LGBT-friendly, communicative. Tangental conversation, surrealism and curiosity welcome! Late night Mortal Kombat and soup also welcome. Important to chat further.
