Description
Hi! My name is Hannah, and I’m offering a recently decorated and furnished ground-floor bedroom in my lovely 3-bedroom terraced house in Roath, Cardiff.
The room is suitable for a relaxed, non-smoking female housemate who would like to share a comfortable cottage-like home.
I am 21 and own the property with my parents. I’ve recently qualified as a midwife and will be starting a new job in Cambridgeshire in November, so I’ll be living away for work but returning to Cardiff regularly. The other bedroom is currently occupied by a fellow newly qualified midwife.
We are looking for a friendly, respectful, clean and responsible female housemate, aged between 21–25, who is either a postgraduate student or young professional.
The room is available from Monday 19th October 2026.
The available room is a light, pretty ground-floor bedroom with a:
- Brand-new small double bed
- New mattress
- Hanging rail
- Two chests of drawers
- Built-in shelves
- Bedside table, if required
The house is a 3-bedroom property with plenty of shared space, including:
- Living room with sofa-bed
- Working wood-burner
- Entrance hallway with shoe storage and coat-hanging space
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Washing machine and outside drying line
- Dishwasher
- Downstairs WC
- Upstairs bathroom with a separate shower and roll-top bath
- Garden
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials, so there’s no need to bring your own kitchen equipment unless you prefer to.
A council parking permit for on-street parking is available if required at an additional cost.
Rent: £620 per calendar month
£143 per week
Bills:
Council tax – £60 per person per month
Gas & electricity – charged separately based on usage
Included in the rent:
- Water
- Broadband
- Home insurance
- TV licence
The property is Council Tax Band D. Gas and electricity are supplied by Octopus Energy, and the house has a smart meter, so the cost will be based on actual usage.
The arrangement will be a lodger/lodging agreement rather than a standard tenancy agreement.
We’re looking for someone who will treat the house as their home, keep shared areas clean and tidy, and be considerate of the other people living here.
If you think you might be a good fit, please feel free to get in touch and tell me a little bit about yourself, what you do, and what you’re looking for in a house share. I’d be very happy to arrange a phone call/viewing! 😊
