Double Room in Canton, Cardiff (Room Only/Lodger)

​A bright double bedroom is available immediately in Canton, just moments from Victoria Park and the popular shops, cafes, and restaurants on Cowbridge Road East.

​ABOUT THE HOME & HOUSEHOLD
We are a live-in couple in our late 20s/early 30s working in professional roles (with occasional WFH days in our separate office space). We are open-minded, progressive, LGBT+ friendly, clean, and easygoing.

​We are outgoing and love to socialise, but, home is very much our sanctuary and quiet space to relax and recharge after work.

​The Bedroom:
Single occupancy only. Offered furnished (double bed, desk, chest of drawers) or unfurnished if you have your own furniture.

​Shared Facilities & Storage:
Access to the main bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen (all cookware and appliances included). You will have your own dedicated double cupboard, a shelf in the fridge, and two shelves in the freezer.

​House Setup:
This is a lodger arrangement for the bedroom only. The living and dining areas remain private space for us as a couple. This setup is ideal for a quiet, respectful professional or postgraduate student looking for a clean, peaceful home base while living independently.

​Visitors & Guests:
We keep a quiet household and prioritise safety for our indoor pets, so this isn't a house for hosting parties or regular overnight guests. The room is strictly for one person.

​PETS & SECURITY
We have two friendly pets:
​Indoor Cat: Keeping exterior doors and windows secured is an absolute priority so he doesn't escape, so we need someone mindful and careful about house security.

​Jack Russell (13 yrs): A very quiet, sleepy dog. He stays in his crate when we're both out. You are welcome to interact with him, but there is zero obligation.
​Both pets can easily be kept out of your room if you prefer.

​LOCATION & TRANSPORT
​City Access: Less than 10 minutes by bus into Cardiff City Centre, or a 30-minute walk.
​Parking: On-street parking nearby (council permit recommended).
​RENT & TERMS
​Rent: £650 PCM (All bills included: Gas, Electric, Water, Council Tax, Broadband).
​Deposit: No deposit — 1st month's rent payable in advance.
​Agreement: Lodger Licence Agreement (3-month initial term).
​Availability: Available immediately (7 days a week).
