Lovely double room in a calm, renovated home opposite Meersbrook Park – £625 bills included

I have a comfortable, partly furnished room available in my home in Meersbrook, literally across the road from Meersbrook Park.

This is a proper home rather than a typical house share, and I’m looking for one considerate person who would enjoy living here and making use of the house, rather than simply renting a bedroom.

The room is around 3m x 3.5m and has a sofa bed with a mattress topper, desk and chair, armchair, and IKEA Besta storage units. It works well as a bedroom, private sitting space and home office.

The house

The house was fully renovated in 2025 and is bright, comfortable and quiet. You would have full use of:

large open-plan kitchen and dining area
separate living room
shared bathroom with bath and shower
two toilets
large garden and patio
veg patch if you fancy growing anything
garage for bike storage
attic storage if needed
easy on-street parking

Working from home is very welcome, and Ethernet connections are installed if you need a reliable wired connection.

All household bills are included.

Location

Meersbrook Park is about a minute away – essentially just across the road – so it’s a particularly lovely spot if you enjoy walking, running, green space or simply having somewhere beautiful to step out into.

The household

I’m a working professional and divide my week between working from home and working elsewhere. I’m friendly and sociable but also enjoy my own space, and I’d ideally like to live with someone similar – happy to chat or occasionally have a cup of tea together, but also independent.

I have one cat, so you’ll need to be comfortable living with a feline housemate.

The house is peaceful and isn’t a party house, so I’m looking for someone considerate and easy to live with.

I think it would particularly suit a professional, postgraduate, researcher or someone relocating to Sheffield who wants a comfortable and settled home rather than a large shared house.

£625 pcm, including bills. Single occupancy.
