I am in the final stages of renovating a property in Millhouses. If you feel at home in a warm, classically decorated house, this could be a fantastic home for you. Situated just off Abbeydale Road on an unadopted road with plenty of parking, this property is ideally situated for escaping to the Peak District as well as having great access to public transport into town. Tescos is a short, riverside walk away (literally 5 minutes), and Sainsbury's and Aldi are only a stone's throw further on.
The house has a fully fitted kitchen and utility, with a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Wifi and all bills (including council tax) are included.
Your room is the largest in the house, with two skylights creating a bright, open space. It is currently furnished with a bed, mattress, bedside table, chest of drawers and a desk.
I have had terrible experiences with live-in landlords, so I know what not to do! Rest assured that although I own this house, it will be our home.
I am an active person, enjoying spending as much time as possible in the Peaks, climbing, caving and running when I can, but I also enjoy a quiet evening in, being creative, reading, or just chilling with some video games. I am currently a Supply Teacher, which means I'm usually out during the day in the week, but have time off during the holidays. In the coming months, I intend to get out and see a bit more of the world, so I'm looking for someone I can entrust the house to whilst I'm away.
The ideal housemate enjoys a good chinwag, has interesting hobbies, and can teach me something new!
There's plenty of space left on the communal bookshelf for you to add to :)
As it stands, the final stages of the renovation left to complete are: painting the bathroom walls; painting the stairwell and putting in a nice carpet; transforming the garden (currently horrible decking! D: )
