Description
This lovely sunny double room is available for a quiet and considerate non-smoking professional or post-grad student. The room is warm and well insulated.
It’s a spacious attic bedroom with a double bed and en suite shower/toilet. There is a wardrobe, book shelves, desk and chair to work at and an IKEA poang chair with footstool to relax on and chest of drawers. The room has a kettle and microwave and space for a fridge/freezer. There is a clothes drier hanging from the ceiling over the stairs.
The house is few minutes walk to Endcliffe and Bingham Parks and the beautiful Porter Valley. I live with my 15-year-old son and half the time he is with his dad nearby.
I have space to store a bike outside, it's only 20 minutes cycle to town There is on -street parking. The local bus routes 120 and 83 are just 3-4 minutes walk from here taking you to the city centre, universities and hospitals, or out into the Peak District.
There is a nice shared back garden with our quiet and friendly neighbours. We are growing some fruit and veg, a sunny bench and a chiminea firepot.
The kitchen is light, though small and has an electric fan oven and hob.
Full fibre Broadband included. Washing machine and use of washing line or indoor airer.
I work from home during school hours, my office is on the ground floor and see one to one clients.
Home is important to me. I have created a relaxed, welcoming home where everyone's space is respected.
We have welcomed many people to our cosy attic over the years. Experience has taught us that it works best with a person who feels relaxed enough to come and use the kitchen and dining table and enjoy their own space upstairs or as a base for enjoying the city and the peak district.
The household is LGBTIQA+ friendly and although we are not looking for a couple, a friend is warmly welcome for occasional nights.
For various reasons I need to be strictly gluten free and appreciate consideration in this regard.
The third member of the household is our beautifully playful cat Maria. We don't encourage her into the upper floor, but she is the queen of all else that she surveys!
If the photos and description appeal to you, I would welcome a chat with you, to offer a viewing if you are seriously interested.
