Description
Female lodger (sorry, no males, no couples) wanted for single upstairs bedroom with shared bathroom in detached family home on West side of Bury St Edmunds. Off-street parking and garage for bikes. 15 minutes walk from town centre and college, easy access to amenities and hospital.
Spacious home, use of all facilities including kitchen and kitchen equipment, front room, dining/sitting room, big garden and 2 bathrooms.
Bills, WiFi, communal stuff like toilet paper, handwash, dishwasher soap, cleaning products etc (not laundry soap) are included in the monthly rent. We hope you will clean up after yourself in communal spaces.
Home occupied by mum (me), 2 beautiful (I'm not biased of course), well behaved (mostly!) kids aged 17 and 19, but 19-year-old is at Uni now, so away during term times. A second lodger usually lives in a downstairs bedroom, currently my sister. My partner is often around at weekends but does not live here.
The most recent long term occupier of the single room moved out on June 14th. She was here for over 2 years and then moved in with her boyfriend. Now there is a short term tenant, here for 2 months until August 26th.
I am kind and thoughtful, and friendly in a quiet way; I work 3 days a week until 3pm at West Suffolk College, the rest of the time I work from home so need and like my own space, and would respect yours.
We recognise that living in our family home is not for everyone. But if you have a look and think it will suit you, and we think the same, then we will do our very best to make you feel welcome.
