Lovely room, great views, pets welcome

A very attractive, warm double room soon available with rural views, lots of beams and built in wardrobe. A modern upgraded bathroom with bath and shower Is next to the bedroom and shared with just one other female housemate.

The other two friendly housemates are professionals - a doctor and a tv film-maker.... and Rufus, a 10 month old Border Collie!

The house is a 17th century cottage which has been extended with a large modern extension, built as an annexe. Altogether it makes a large 4 bedroom house., with three reception rooms. The upstairs is divided into an annexe of 1 bedroom and its own bathroom, and a separate landing with 2 bedrooms and a second bath and shower room (the fourth bedroom is used for storage only). We share the main downstairs part of the house (though I spend most of my time in the annexe, which shares the stairs but is slightly separate and is essentially a large office).

Altogether it works well giving everyone some privacy and some company as required.

The house in in a wonderful edge of village location, 5 minutes drive outside Newmarket, set in beautiful countryside, overlooking stud paddocks in a quiet country lane just 20 mins drive to the outskirts of Cambridge. There are wonderful walks from the house and a great pub nearby.

The house has a good sized garden with beautiful views, a big kitchen and comfortable diner/lounge.

Pets welcome. Bills are included (Council Tax, broadband, water etc.) except for a modest share of heating oil and electricity.

Please note you ideally need a car as this is a rural location. Although it's only a 5 minute drive to Newmarket, it's surprisingly hilly and you would need to be a keen cyclist to do it daily!

Off street driveway parking is available.

Our resident young collie loves to spend time with his housemates, therefore this house would really suit an animal lover. He is extremely friendly and you will be assured of a warm welcome everytime you come in!
