Our flatmate is moving out soon so a friend (m27) and I (f24) are looking for someone to take her room.

• Location and price: We live in a spacious house with a garden in East Croydon. Rent would be £650 per month (with bills and tax at approximately £150 a month).

• Availability: From 03/10/2024 (a slightly earlier move-in date may be possible)

• Commute: The house is a 10-15 minute walk from East Croydon station and a 17-minute walk from West Croydon Overground station. From East Croydon you can take a 15-minute train ride to central London (London Bridge/Blackfriars).

• Shops: We have a great international food shop right next to our house. There’s also a Co-op and a Tesco within a 5-10 minute walk. We also shop at the Lidl in the town centre, which is about 25 minutes away by foot.

Our house is spacious and full of natural light. It has a modern kitchen equipped with two stoves, and a big garden. When we first moved in, the house came unfurnished so, apart from the king-sized bed and mattress, the available room will come mostly empty (although we could potentially negotiate a price for the wardrobe and our flatmate might leave some bedroom furniture behind).

You’d be sharing with me, a journalist, and my flatmate, a freelance designer. We’re both skaters and like to try new things in our spare time. We’re social and our house has quite a relaxed atmosphere – we invite our friends over from time to time but equally enjoy having the space to do our own thing.

We’re looking for someone chill to join us. You’d have to pass our agency’s checks and be able to pay council tax in order to sign the new contract so unfortunately we can’t accept students unless you have a guarantor.
