LOCATION: we are ideally situated, less than a 5 minute drive to Jct 6 on the M25. Making our location ideal for visiting East/West Sussex, Kent, Essex, travelling to London or further North. We are located within the conservation area. Which is in the middle of a beautiful, picturesque village with a large green and pretty ponds. In the Summer months people enjoy the bowling green and make use of the tennis courts. There is a children’s play area and primary school nearby. There are 2 gastropubs, a traditional pub, a village barn (craft fairs/social/yoga), village clubhouse, youth centre, deli cafe, tea rooms, convenience stores, church, post office, hairdressers, chemist, Doctors surgery, Dentists, Estate Agents, petrol station, builders merchants, car garage, and off-licence.
PROPERTY: our glorious Elizabethan, grade II, listed building was originally a Coaching Inn. It is over 440 years old. We have renovated and lovingly restored it keeping as many original features as possible. Fortunately, we are blessed with high ceilings and although it is Elizabethan our contemporary decor has given it a light airy feel throughout. We are right in the centre of the conservation area. The Cottage is deceptively spacious. There are 5 WC’s throughout the whole building. The kitchen will be shared. It is fully equipped and there is a breakfast bar comfortably seating three people.
SUITE: the suite is located on the first floor. You can see the green, and one of the ponds, from one of the sash windows that is in the suite’s private lounge. The lounge has contemporary furniture with storage and double-recliner leather sofa. It has a Jack & Jill style private en suite (giving you easy access to your private lounge or bedroom). The en suite has a large marble-style double sink unit, WC, double radiator and double spa shower. The bedroom has an impressive inglenook fireplace, triple wardrobe with full length mirror, bed, bedside cabinet, dresser with drawers, and large chest of drawers.
ABOUT US: we are live-in landlords (2). We do not have any pets but we are animal lovers and have a dog sleepover occasionally. We are down to earth, sociable and like to have fun. We like nature, sports, architecture, music and the arts. We are looking for a professional person.. The suite is for one person only. If you are looking for a characterful home with boutique style decor in a peaceful village then this could be for you.
