A virtually sole occupancy opportunity in Laleham

I spend around two thirds of the year abroad, so although this is technically a house share, most of the time you would have it entirely to yourselves. It's a quirky, colourful room in a lovely off-road house in the leafy village of Laleham, close to the Thames.

Laleham is a beautiful village and my house is a 3-bed terrace on the edge of a quiet communal lawn area. There’s plenty of parking. The new Netflix and Amazon studios at Shepperton are visible across the field from my path. Look the other way and there’s a farm, and another field to the rear of the house – so all very green. There’s a lot of bird life including parakeets, kites, the occasional owl and woodpecker. Everyone says the house has a lovely, calm vibe.

If you’re working at the studios, Gate 1 is a 3-minute drive or 15-20 minute walk away, passing by the village’s three pubs which apparently must always remain, thanks to a directive set out by our most famous former residents the Lucans (as in the infamous, disappearing suspected murderer, Lord Lucan). Beautiful, big parklands and the River Thames are about a 10-minute walk away.
