Are you a business professional, working in Leatherhead and looking for a comfortable home-from-home experience to make working away easier to handle?
I'm looking to find a well-presented, clean and tidy lodger who seeks a room rent to share my recently refurbished flat, just off the top of Leatherhead High Street.
* Public Transport / Local Area *
Parking is limited in the area from 8am to 6pm; if you are working on any of the local trading estates, local shuttle buses operate for free. Public transport is excellent and the flat is only a 6-minute walk from Leatherhead railway station. Please note, there is no dedicated parking space available for the flat. M25 Junction 9 is a 5 minute drive. Leatherhead railway station serves London Bridge, London Victoria and London Waterloo railway stations in as little as 38 minutes. or Guildford and Dorking in the opposite direction with lots of options to interchange.
Leatherhead town centre boasts three pubs, five cafes a dozen restaurants of varying origin and a Lidl, Sainsburys or Waitrose to name just a few of the common names you will encounter. Leatherhead Leisure Centre is a short walk away and there are various other gyms nearby.
* Facilities *
A well-equipped, modern kitchen, bathroom and living room are available to share with all the essential items you come to expect like washer/dryer, iron & board and smart TV. The kitchen benefits from a breakfast bar, fridge freezer, fan-assisted oven, gas hob, kettle toaster, slow cooker, hand blender, sink/drainer and dishwasher. with crockery / cutlery for 8 servings.
* The Room *
The bedroom you will be occupying is based at one side of the property on the entrance level (ground floor) so is quite private; it hosts a nearly-new bed and mattress, fan for when it's warmer, a chest of draws, desk and swivel chair, reading lights, and hanging space. Curtains and a blind provide warmth and help to keep out daylight while the window is double-glazed and can be secured for ventilation when required. Power sockets are available all around the room along with an aerial and network sockets.
* The Property *
The flat is accessed via a metal staircase, up one level so the ground floor is actually above the property below, an Indian restaurant (there's a Chinese takeaway next door). If you have mobility issues, this may not be ideal for you. The living room and kitchen are also on the same level as your bedroom and the floor above has two other bedrooms and the shared bathroom. The bathroom has a matching suite, comprising toilet, large basin and large bath with a shower head for in-bath use. There is also a separate shower in a large cubicle, heated towel rail, shaver light and mirror. The living room boasts a table for six people with chairs / benches with two double reclining sofas. Throughout the property is modern artwork, gas central heating and a blue night-light feature in the kitchen, bathroom, stairs and hall way. The flat is protected by an intruder and smoke alarm and exterior CCTV.

Applicants must have a very good understanding of the English language and be articulate. You will be required to ...
1) offer two recent references which will be verified,
2) complete a lodging agreement with background checks (£20 charge), and
3) provide a deposit, value subject to duration of commitment and reference check.

I've offered my spare rooms to lodgers for six years (excluding the pandemic period) and have built up a quality reputation with a 100% five-star track record with over 160 bookings. My time at the property varies and occasionally I may have family and friends staying with me. While I'm a sociable host, I'm content in letting guests relax without disturbance. I do have high standards and expect you to align with them so if something is not right, I will bring it to your attention to ensure we all get on.
