The room is a beautiful, bright double with high ceilings, loads of natural light, and a gorgeous original feature fireplace that gives it plenty of character. It's furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, curtains and a mirror, so it's ready to move straight into.
The flat overlooks Figges Marsh, so you get a lovely bit of greenery while still being in the city. Transport links are excellent too. Tooting railway station is a 3-minute walk away, with Colliers Wood and Tooting Broadway tube station around 15/20 minutes by foot. Mitcham Eastfields is also within easy walking distance, giving you plenty of options for getting around.
If you don’t know the area, there are loads of brilliant cafés, restaurants and pubs nearby, plus all the essentials (including a Lidl, because that's always a win!) It's a really great location with everything you need close by.
The flat itself is comfortable, homely and peaceful. Bedrooms are at opposite ends of the flat so a touch of added privacy. And as an added bonus, there's a lovely garden perfect for a morning coffee or making the most of a sunny evening.

A bit about me - I'm a secondary and sixth form Art teacher at a local school. Outside of work, I'm a regular at the gym, a fair-weather lido enthusiast, and love travelling. I try to make the most of the school holidays and usually have plans to escape somewhere by the time end of term rolls around.
I'm tidy, considerate and low-drama. I enjoy a good chat over a cuppa, but I'm equally happy doing my own thing. I'm definitely a "go to the party, don't bring the party home" kind of person, so if you're after a peaceful home rather than an afters venue, we'll probably get on.
It would be lovely if a friendship blossomed, but there's no compulsory friendship contract. I'm just looking for someone who's easy-going, respectful and wants to make the flat feel like a home. If we end up mates along the way, that's a bonus!

The room is available from 6th August and is £1,000 per calendar month plus bills which are split 50/50
