I have a HUGE room in a family home to rent short term for anyone who needs a space while they find their longer term home.
The reason it is short term is because it is within a family home, which is not always ideal for longer term renting.
I (47F) am here a lot, my two sons (17 - trans was female) and 8, are here part time and at their dad’s part time. My sons are both polite and well behaved. We also have a cat called Luna 🐈⬛
The property is fairly newly built (2005) 3 storey townhouse in a nice estate at the north end of Gosforth.
The room I am letting out is on the 2nd floor and is set up to be more like a bedsit than a bedroom, features are as follows:
- Large en suite shower room with sink, toilet, large shower, mirror, storage, shelves etc. 🚿
- balcony with lovely views (small so can’t sit out but can stand out) 🌳🏘️
- freshly painted room in lilac and white 🖌️💜
- fully furnished including double bed with Emma Mattress 😴
- duvet and pillows plus bedding provided if required 🛌
- large built in double wardrobe with ample hanging space and storage above 🚪
- long length mirrors on the wardrobe doors 🪞
- large luxurious 2 seater sofa 🛋️
- small mirrored side table ☕️
- kettle, toaster and microwave in room 🫖
- crockery, cutlery and other kitchen items can be included if required 🍽️
- desk and chair available if required 🪑but can be taken out if not
- small fridge freezer in room 🥛
- washing machine on ground floor 👚
- access to good sized garden 🌳
- room is lockable 🗝️
- lovely neighbourhood 🏘️
- ample free kerbside parking near property 🚗
- tv with Amazon fire stick, Netflix and Disney subscriptions all included 📺
- the property has very fast internet connection with full fibre broadband. 💻
- all bills are included in the monthly price. Including council tax, gas, electricity, internet, tv licence, water, Netflix and Disney ⚡️
Points worth noting:
- our cat Luna is 8 months old and tends to stay indoors so my place isn’t suitable for anyone with an allergy. She may be curious and try to come into your room occasionally if the door is open but generally does her own thing.
- I’m still decorating the rest of the property so carpets etc in other parts of the house aren’t their best.
- it’s probably better suited to those with a car as shops and amenities are a bit of a walk
- you are welcome to use the main kitchen to cook, however we have tried to make it possible for breakfasts, snacks, easy meals etc to be made in your room.
- your space will be up 2 flights of stairs, just a note for those less agile
- as it’s a family home, I’m not keen on lots of visitors so you’ll need to ask if people are coming around. I’d rather not have partners staying over regularly. ( this is also part of the reason I am keeping this as short term let)
