Description
Upstairs flat, east facing room, on Spencer Street in Heaton.
Room is 10 feet by 7.5. (Never sure if that’s a single or a double.) Contains a trundle bed (single by default, with a second part that pulls out to double the size) and a wardrobe. Things like drawers, shelves etc. can be added if you like.
Flat is spacious and pleasant, east/west facing so gets loads of light, and has a private yard (proper sun trap too, especially in late afternoons).
There’s a shared lounge, well stocked kitchen, and shower room (no bath I’m afraid, just a walk in shower). Some storage space available in loft. There’s also a west facing outside balcony accessed from the kitchen, with stairs down to a private yard.
Yard can probably be used for parking if needed (certainly over winter), and there’s free parking on Spencer Street and the back alley. The hall downstairs can be used to keep a bike inside if you need.
(Photos are from last year, will update when current tenant moves out.)
Spencer Street is pretty quiet, but two minutes walk from the high street Chillingham Road. Loads of nearby shops, cafes, restaurants etc. Easy access by car, bike, bus and metro to Newcastle, the universities, other areas of town, the coast and so on.
You’d be living with me. I’m a single gay guy, in case that’s a deal breaker, but queer and non queer welcome.
Have a cleaner who comes every couple of weeks to do the social areas, plus a window cleaner once a month.
I’m a sociable guy, and work in schools IT (forcing me to be an early riser atm). Often out with mates (pub, walking, dinner dates, game nights, cinema) or with my family. Big fan of horror movies, new wave cinema, and the kind of novels published by Penguin Modern Classics.
Things like age range are negotiable if we get on.
You’re welcome to use the lounge and kitchen, have partners over (though not move them in), and mates (though my current working arrangements really don’t suit late parties, if you like to cane it till 4am I’m pretty jealous tbh, but it probably wouldn’t work to have you live here).
There’s probably stuff I’ve forgot to add. Feel free to ask.
Council tax included in bills, if you get an exemption (e. g. you’re a full time student) a reduction can be arranged.
