Description

I’ve got a furnished double room becoming available in my 2-bed flat in Ouseburn, Newcastle from the 1st of November 2026.

The room is a good size with a double bed, large wardrobe, drawers and a proper desk/workspace, so there’s plenty of storage and it also works well if you occasionally work from home.

The flat itself is pretty spacious, with a large open-plan living room and kitchen and some really nice views across the Tyne and towards the bridges. The living room also has a slightly excessive number of plants, as you’ll probably gather from the photos 🌿

Location is probably one of the best things about the flat. We’re right in the Ouseburn Valley, so there are loads of independent pubs, cafés, live music spots and places to eat within walking distance, as well as the Quayside and some really nice walks along the river. It has a lot going on without feeling like you’re living right in the middle of the city centre.

Getting around is pretty easy too. The Q3 runs through Ouseburn and takes you through the Quayside and into the city centre, Byker Metro is around a 12-15 minute walk away and Central Station is roughly a 30 minute walk (or around 8-10 minutes by car). Newcastle Airport is around a 15-20 minute drive away.

There’s also parking available at the property, which is very handy around here.
The bathroom is shared and has a bath and shower. The kitchen has pretty much everything you’d expect - washing machine, oven, hob, microwave, air fryer, fridge/freezer etc.

A little about me - I’m 31 and work full-time as a Landscape Architect. I’m pretty easy-going and sociable. I like travelling, cooking, going out for food/drinks, gaming and generally getting out and doing things at weekends.

I’m happy to chat, have dinner together, watch something or occasionally go out, but I also really value having my own space and would obviously respect yours too. Ideally I’d like someone I actually get along with as a flatmate rather than us just politely acknowledging each other beside the fridge once a week 😂

I like keeping the flat clean and reasonably tidy, but I’m definitely not obsessive about it. Basically just looking for someone friendly, considerate and easy to live with who’ll treat the place as their home too.

It’ll just be the two of us sharing the flat.
