For me, home is more than just somewhere to sleep. I’m hoping to create one that’s friendly, relaxed and somewhere people genuinely enjoy coming back to.

I’m looking for two friendly, considerate housemates to share a beautifully presented owner-occupied three-bedroom home in the Deanburn area of Bo’ness.

The house should be ready from mid to late July, so for now I’m really looking to connect with people who think it sounds like a good fit. The current photos are from the estate agent while everything is being prepared, but I’ll update the advert with photos of the furnished rooms as soon as everything is ready.

🏡 The House

The house is bright, spacious and modern throughout and includes:

* Three double bedrooms
* Stylish recently renovated bathroom with rainfall shower
* Spacious living room
* Modern kitchen with integrated appliances
* South-facing enclosed garden – perfect for a morning coffee, a good book or the occasional summer BBQ
* Plenty of resident parking
* Quiet cul-de-sac location
* Woodland walks through Kinneil Estate just a few minutes away

Both rooms will be furnished before anyone moves in, although if you already have your own bedroom furniture and would prefer to bring it instead, I’m happy to have a conversation about what works best.

👋 A Bit About Me

I work in the renewable energy sector producing conferences and events, and occasionally travel with work to deliver conferences I’ve spent months curating.

Outside work I enjoy keeping active, going to the gym, running, travelling, live music, watching the football, history, board games, discovering good places to eat and attempting to convince myself that this is finally the year I’ll learn to play the guitar properly!

I’ve also just got back from London after seeing Metallica with friends, which probably gives you a fairly good idea of the sort of things I enjoy when I’m not working! 🎸🤘🏻

I’d describe myself as sociable, easy-going and someone who enjoys good conversation. I’m equally happy heading out for a coffee, a walk or the pub as I am having a quiet evening in.

😊 The Kind of Housemate I’m Hoping to Find

Age really isn’t the important thing, much more important is finding someone who’s friendly, considerate and easy to live with.

It’s always nice when you just click with somebody and, if we’re going to be sharing a home, it’d be lovely if that happened naturally. There’s absolutely no expectation that we’ll become best friends overnight, and everyone should feel completely comfortable having their own space and independence.

That said, I’d love the house to feel relaxed and welcoming rather than somewhere everyone disappears behind closed doors. It would be great if we occasionally shared a coffee, watched a film, had a BBQ in the garden, headed out for a drink now and again. Equally, if one of us has had a rubbish day at work, it’s nice to be able to have a chat, put the world to rights over a cup of tea and then get on with the evening.

I’d also like the house to be somewhere that’s calm and comfortable for everyone. I’m not looking for a party house, so if you enjoy a quieter lifestyle, treat the place with respect and are considerate of the people you live with, we’ll probably get on well. Non-smokers are preferred, although smoking outside is fine. I’m not looking for drug use within the house or a home centred around heavy drinking.

Ultimately, I’m just hoping to find someone who’s looking for more than simply renting a room - someone who’d enjoy being part of a friendly, respectful home.

Life’s too short to live in a house where nobody speaks to each other 👌

If you’ve read this far and think this sounds like the sort of home you’d enjoy living in, feel free to drop me a message. Even if you’ve just got a few questions, I’m always happy to chat.
