Postgrad student or professional person

I am looking someone (preferably a postgrad student) to look after my flat while I work abroad. The room is available from January until late June (date to be agreed) when I return for the summer.

About me: I am an English teacher. I work in Italy during the school term, and I rent out my spare room while I am away. So you will mostly have the place to yourself, except when I return occasionally, to visit friends and family.

The spare room has a double bed, double wardrobe, good hanging space, a storage cupboard, and two units with three drawers each. There is also an office desk with computer monitor, and a shelf for books.

The kitchen is has all the usual things, but no freezer. (However, the supermarket is two minutes away, and is open until 10pm.)

There is a washing machine, and old-fashioned pulley (clothes drier) where you hang your clothes up to dry. Clothes dry well overnight.

There are good transport links, especially to Edinburgh University central campus. The 43 bus to Edinburgh centre (Princes Street) takes about 30-35 minutes, longer in traffic. By train, the journey from Dalmeny Station takes 15 minutes. There is also a bus (Jet 747) to/from Edinburgh Airport (18 minutes from Airport to South Queensferry).

As you will see from the photographs, I have an amazing view. Queensferry is a great place to live with lots of green space, a friendly community, and many local activities — sports centre, rowing club, watersports, swimming pool, singing group, art club, book club, etc,

All I ask is that you live quietly so not to disturb my neighbours, and keep the place in good order . The rent includes all bills and cleaning (kitchen, bathroom, toilet, and living room) every four weeks.
