Description
AVAILABLE NOW
Friendly home - We have a communal meal every few weeks and include people who have lived here in the past. Looking for warm and laid back people who like living with other people, rather than someone who wants to eat in their bedroom.
Well furnished home with garden and patio, not just a rented space. Big kitchen with table, plus dining room and sitting room downstairs with wooden floors. Rent includes fortnightly cleaner, kitchen has a dishwasher. Garden has a table and bench and is a bit overgrown, bees love it.
Regular frequent buses to town and to University and QE. Kings Heath is a neighbourhood with lots of cafes and life. It's a quiet area & only a 5 minute walk from the Hare and Hounds, a wonderful pub with live music. Also 2 minutes from Kings Heath park where the Kings Heath running club meets.
Shared rooms are kept clean and tidy.
There is a small double room available from 11 June 2025. It has a 4 ft double bed, wardrobe, desk and shelving. It’s a very light room at the back of the house with a view over the garden.
I can lend bedding and towels if you’re coming from overseas.
The other housemates apart from me are Tom and Chris. Tom is gay and male, 37, he works as a bar supervisor and has great pub recommendations. Chris is pansexual and non-binary, 37. He likes politics, music and films. I’m a straight female, love conversation and the cinema. This is a trans-friendly space.
Shared bathroom for you and other housemates plus downstairs loo.
There are 2 friendly cats Archie and Chloe - realistically you need to like cats. They are very chatty.
Usual mod cons and amenities including unlimited wireless broadband, tall fridge, tall frostfree freezer, double oven, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.
We currently have a fortnightly cleaner, cost included. We share out emptying the dishwasher and the recycling.
Rent covers council tax, water rates and use of line rental and broadband. We split bills for gas/electricity only. Approximate cost of this an average of £38 a month, more in the winter and less in the summer.
Deposit is one month's rent, payable in advance to secure the room.
Non-smokers and non-drug takers only.
If you’re interested tell me a bit about yourself. Come round, have a cup of tea, see the house and meet us.
