Description
The room is for a student. You should be in Full Time Higher Education.
I do sometimes have lodgers from AMEX in Burgess Hill. Mostly my lodgers come from Plumpton College.
This is single occupancy, by arrangement partners can stay (no children or pets).
Hassocks rail station is 10 mins walk
Plumpton College is a car ride of 4 miles.
Brighton & Sussex Universities - car 20 mins, (train and bus but you will need to change and having a car especially in the winter is essential)
Brighton City - 12 min walk to Hassocks station and a 10 min train ride away. There are also buses from Hassocks into Brighton (bus stop is a 15 min walk).
London - train is 60 mins
The house is not on a main road, and it is quiet. It is much bigger than it seems! It is very relaxed and clean, you share the facilities and there are no extra household bills. There is a kitchen (where you have your own cupboard), microwave, washer, fridge/freezer, dryer, dishwasher, Wifi, dining room, somewhere to chill and one and a half bathrooms the main bathroom has a separate power shower (with your own cupboard here). Also a lovely garden to chill in during the summer.
We have a great lodger room in our bungalow at the back of the house facing the garden. The room has a very comfortable double bed. It is freshly painted.
You are welcome to make the room yours, move the furniture around and I can remove whatever you don't need. I don't have a list of house rules all I ask is that you clean up after yourself, respect the security of the house and empty the dishwasher and the bin from time to time!
I keep the house clean although I do leave you to sort your own room out.
There is free on road parking at the house for a car and if you have a bike you can store it in the garage.
Hassocks is a great little town, shops are open early and stay open until late. There are groups and clubs for sport. Sometimes my lodgers join one of the local gyms, running or cycling clubs.
Lodgers have been living with me for 24 years and am very used people coming and going.
My current student lodger is from the Plumpton undergraduate wine degree course and has been here for 2 years, the previous student a wine masters student was here for 3 years having graduated from Plumpton College and then worked locally.
I work from home in the renewables industry, have lived in the area all my life, like working out, love walking on the downs and meeting up with my friends in various nice pubs. My son is 27 and lives in London coming home at weekends sometimes. I have two very vocal half siamese cats (you need to not be allergic to cats).
This is not a first come first gets the room - if you are interested contact me and we will go from there. I won't reply to any room requests that are not specifically responding to my ad, I also won't respond to anyone with no profile - if you want a response from me you need to send a message and tell me about you and what you are doing.
Any questions please get in touch by email or text me (please do not call as I work full time and cannot take personal calls) I will get back to you as soon as I can.
