Description
We are looking to rent our garden annex room for the academic year starting September 2025 to a full-time graduate or post-graduate student. The room is available for the academic year only and must be vacated by July 2026. (with the possibility of returning in September 2026). The garden room is in the garden of our family home. In the main home is myself, my husband and our two school-age children. The children will use the garden after school and at weekends but we do respect the privacy of our guests and will try to minimise noise at antisocial times!
We can be flexible with start and end dates and if a student wanted to return home for Christmas and Easter holiday periods we would reduce the rent accordingly. We would also consider Monday to Friday rental and would again, reduce the rent accordingly.
The room has a large open plan bedroom/living room with a kitchen area which has a fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, portable hob, toaster, kettle and small air fryer.
There is an en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet.
The room is furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, sofa, desk and shelving.
You will have access to the utility room in the main house and will be provided with a key to access this. There you can access a washing machine and tumble dryer with no additional charge.
There is central heating and all bills (water/council tax/electricity/wifi) are included including hi speed fibre optic broadband.
We have a family cat who is very friendly but she won't go into the garden room unless invited.
There is free on-street parking. We have the Number 2 bus just a few minutes walk on Old Shoreham Road. The 700 coastline bus is about a 10-15 minute walk and Southwick train station with trains to Brighton, London and Worthing is about a 15 minute walk from the house.
