Description

The Location:
The house is situated on a quintessentially Hebden Bridge Street, packed with charm, plants and wonderful neighbours. We have a sweet little community, and even come together for a yearly summer street party.
Conveniently, it is moments away from the Town Centre, with a short walk to the train station and buses/cafes/shops, etc. There are countryside walks, art studios, a gym and a yoga studio all less than 5 minutes from the door!

The House:
It is a cosy, quiet household, perfect for relaxing, reading and gaming - a peaceful retreat from the world. The house is a four-story, mid-terrace property ruled by two cats, Morph and Phoebe. The top floor has your bedroom, a bathroom and a little landing. There are two bathrooms - while it is not en-suite, you will have primary use of the bathroom on your floor.
Downstairs, there is a shared kitchen and a shared living room, and an outside seating area. The front of house gets the sun in the morning, and the top floor gets sun throughout most of the day. I try to keep the house very clean and tidy, operating with a reset philosophy i. e., if you are finished with a room, please reset it back to how it was (within reason!).
Bills included (water, council tax, gas, electric, broadband).
However, if you are a heavy power consumer, especially during winter months, an additional contribution may be requested.

The Room:
You will have the top floor attic room with a double bed, clothes rail, desk with drawers, and shelves. The room is bright with plenty of floor space. There is room for small items of additional furniture which you could bring with you, or which could be acquired by negotiation after you move in. There is brand new bedding, sheets and towels here for you to use if needed. There is also an airing rack under the bed for drying laundry, and further storage space there.

The Ideal Candidate:
I am hoping for someone who is clean, quiet and considerate. Ideally, you will work full-time (either away from home, or hybrid). Vegan or vegetarian would be preferred, or at least respectful of others’ preferences.
