Looking for housemate/lodger in creative house

I am looking for a lovely likeminded human to share my space.

The house is a quirky fairly old property with lots of character. The room is a fairly large double and will come furnished with bed, small futon chair and wardrobe. You would also have access to shared spaces: kitchen, bathroom, living room, garden etc.

Based just outside Sowerby Bridge there is off-road parking, a bus route a few mins away and it is around a 20 min stroll (5 min drive) to the train station and local amenities of the town.

A bit about me: I am Ali (she/her). I moved to Sowerby Bridge a few years ago craving more countryside after living in cities for years. Hobbies: crafts, yoga, meditation, music, reading, hiking, wild swimming, camping, generally being outdoors.

My partner lives in Leeds and I spend some time there. He will be around some weekends with his doggo.

I've worked really hard to make my house super cosy and colourful and it is very much my creative, safe space to relax. I enjoy the odd dinner party/evening with friends but my partying days are pretty much over and my house reflects this. I am looking for someone with similar interests who would be up for hanging out occasionally but mainly who can live their own life in harmony alongside me living mine.

Sowerby Bridge is a great location for commuters and there are trains both to Leeds/Manchester fairly regularly.

There is a beautiful garden which overlooks the fields/valley. It is very much a work in progress, but there is ample space to sit and relax around a fire or just take in the views.

I don't smoke but my partner does. Smoking is permitted outside only.
