Description
Hello!
I'm Amanda, 40. I'm a full time Transport Project Manager looking for a housemate to join me in my lovely home until the beginning of September, but if all goes well then there's the opportunity to stay until November if all goes well. I'm traveling from September to November so happy for someone to stay in the house alone during this period.
The room is a large sunny double room available on a quiet dead-end street just off Chessel Street. The room is fully furnished with a double bed, desk, a victorian dresser, drawers etc. There's there's some attic space as well for suitcases etc.
The house is well maintained, furnished, and has excellent natural daylight.
Bills include water, gas, electricity, and Vodafone fibre broadband, but no TV licence.
There's a desk in the room, so WFH is possible but I think I'd prefer someone who's not WFH all the time.
I'm pretty active (yoga, swimming, cycling, running etc), speak French and I'm currently learning German, so French or German speakers especially welcome. I'm vegan so ideally would prefer another vegan, but vegetarians, but someone willing to be veggie at home would be considered.
I have a trio of house rabbits, who are very friendly and live free range in the kitchen so you'll need to be willing to make friends with rabbits! And I also volunteer for a rescue and so currently have another foster rabbit who has his own room so you wouldn't see so much of him, unless you wanted to.
Probably the most important things about you (for me) are:
- you're tidy (i. e. you do your washing up after you've cooked, you leave the kitchen clean for the next person. Life is too short to clean up after other adults! (The rabbits are enough!)
- you're happy to not bring meat into the house. We don't mind what you eat outside of the house but a preference is obviously towards the vegan end of things. Or a keen flexitarian.
- possibly have pets. I need to prioritise the rabbits' welfare but as an animal lover I'm happy to consider pets.
Deposit will be protected in the DPS scheme.
If you're interested in knowing more then, please get in touch. I'm not in a particular rush to find a new housemate, so preference will be given if you can include something about yourself and why you think they could be a good match! If you don't say anything about yourself then I'm unlikely to get back to you.
Thanks for reading,
Amanda
