Settled household ideal for independent housemate

We know this might be a little early for some of you but we're going to have a room coming up in our house in Bedminster from 7th January 2027 as one of our current household is becoming a homeowner (woo!). With Christmas in the middle, we thought we’d get something up now, as December tends to be a super busy month for everyone. 🙂

The room coming up in January is a medium-sized double and has plenty of space for a double bed, desk and a couple of wardrobes. Rent is really affordable for the area at £510 a month. In the interests of full disclosure, the price does reflect the fact that the house is in need of a bit of TLC and definitely not the most polished place aesthetically - think a bit of general wear and slightly outdated decor. It’s comfortable and spacious, just not one for anyone looking for a pristine place. 🙂

Location-wise, we're in Bedminster, around a 20-minute walk from the Harbourside and Temple Meads.

In terms of the current household, we're all in our early 30s and are fairly settled, so ours is definitely not a party house. We work from home quite a lot (there's a dedicated office room), so we try to keep the house reasonably tidy and fairly quiet during working hours. We’re all friendly, but also quite independent and often busy with work, friends, and our own plans, so this probably isn’t the kind of house where everyone is hanging out together every evening. Of course, we’re happy to have a chat or hang out when it happens naturally - there’s just no pressure (or, honestly, capacity) to be constantly social.

About you: we'd suit someone in their very late 20s or 30s who likes a relaxed, settled home and is similarly independent.
